Belgrave Harriers
An EICR and everything it called for, from a new board to emergency and LED lighting, done in two weeks around a clubhouse still in use, for EAP Devlin & Sons.
Inspection and testing to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, with results you can file.
He even did improvements that were recommended but not required by the EICR. Highly recommended!
We inspect and test electrical installations to BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations. We carry it out for commercial and residential buildings.
New work is tested before it goes into service and handed over with an Electrical Installation Certificate, or a Minor Works Certificate for a small addition. An existing installation gets periodic inspection and testing, written up as an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).
Since 15 October 2026, BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 (Amendment 4) has been the only current version. On an EICR, only C1 and C2 observations now make the report unsatisfactory.
Visits are planned around the people using the building. Every test is logged, you get results and certificates you can file, and anything that needs attention is explained and priced before we do it.
The law doesn't set a date. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require the installation to be kept safe, and most owners follow the IET's recommended maximum intervals: five years for offices, shops and schools, and three for industrial units. Your insurer or lease may ask for less, and the last report can set a shorter date.
No. An EICR reports on the condition of an existing installation. New work is covered by an Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Works Certificate.
Yes, by arrangement. In a building that stays open, shutdowns can be done out of hours or area by area, so it keeps running.
Surrey and South London, including Sutton, Epsom, Esher, Wimbledon, Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Morden, Mitcham, Banstead and Leatherhead. For larger packages we'll travel further.
