NESCOT College
Two floors of NESCOT's North Wing rewired in 10 weeks for Trevor Blake, with zero defects at handover and further contracts awarded since.
Small power, containment and lighting in buildings people are still using. We plan the shutdowns, work to your programme, and hand over with every certificate in place.
The quality of the work was fantastic… work carried out in a busy shop and wellbeing centre.
We install small power, lighting and the containment that carries them: sockets, lighting circuits, trunking, tray and conduit, in fit-outs, refurbishments and rewires.
Most of this work is in fit-outs and refurbishments, often in offices, schools and shops that are still open. We agree the order of work with you, keep the areas in use powered and safe, and fit in around the other trades on a shared programme.
First fix covers the containment, cabling and back boxes; second fix the sockets, switches, fittings and final connections. Where we're extending an existing installation, we check it can take the new circuits before we connect to it. Every circuit is tested, and you get an Electrical Installation Certificate with the test results and the information for the O&M manual.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
Yes. The trunking, tray, basket and conduit are part of the package, so one contractor is responsible for the routes and what runs in them. Where data or other services share the containment, the separation they need is agreed at the start.
Yes. On a shared programme we work to the main contractor's sequence, report progress at the coordination meetings and flag clashes early, so ceilings, decoration and second fix aren't left waiting on the electrics.
