We install smart lighting, heating and security controls and set them up, so you can run them from your phone.
Smart systems work best when they're planned with the wiring rather than added on top. Many smart switches and dimmers need a neutral wire at the switch, which older homes often don't have, so we check the existing wiring first and run new cable where it's needed. Heating controls are matched to your boiler or heat pump, and security devices are wired from the mains.
Once it's in, the system is set up with you: lights grouped into rooms and scenes, the app connected, and a walk through how it all works. A widely used system means you're not tied to one installer if you want to add to it later. Any new circuits are tested and certified to BS 7671.
The same engineers who work on our commercial jobs do the work at home, and you get a written price before any work starts. For a fault, that's once we've found the cause.
Everything is tested and certified when it's done. We're a NICEIC Approved Contractor, so we self-certify the work that building regulations say must be notified and tell building control for you.
Often, but many smart switches and dimmers need a neutral wire at the switch, which older lighting circuits usually don't have. We check what's there first. Where there's no neutral, we can run one or use devices designed to work without it.
It depends on the system. Some devices connect straight to your Wi-Fi, while others use a hub so they can talk to each other more reliably. We'll recommend a setup that suits the size of the house and what you want to control.
