NESCOT College
Two floors of NESCOT's North Wing rewired in 10 weeks for Trevor Blake, with zero defects at handover and further contracts awarded since.
Cameras, door entry and access control, wired and tested as part of the electrical package.
The quality of the work was fantastic… work carried out in a busy shop and wellbeing centre.
We wire and install CCTV, door entry and access control as part of the electrical package, so the cabling, power and containment all come from one contractor.
Where a security specialist supplies and programs the equipment, we install the cabling, power and containment it runs on, to their requirements, and agree who makes the final connections. Either way, the routes are planned with the rest of the electrical installation rather than added once the ceilings are closed.
Doors on escape routes that are held by access control need to release when the fire alarm operates, so that link is planned with the fire alarm from the start, following the building's fire strategy and BS 7273-4. Everything is tested at handover, and the as-fitted information goes into the O&M manual.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
Yes. If a security specialist is supplying and programming the cameras or access control, we install the cabling, power and containment to their requirements and agree who makes the final connections, so the systems are ready for them to commission.
Doors on escape routes that are locked by access control should release when the fire alarm operates. We wire the link between the two systems and test it at handover, following the building's fire strategy and BS 7273-4, which covers how fire alarms release door locks.
