We survey the existing lighting room by room, then agree the order of work with you. Each area is off only while its fittings are being changed, so the rest of the building carries on as normal, and busy areas can be done out of hours.
New fittings are also a chance to add controls, such as presence detection in rooms that are often empty or daylight dimming by the windows. How much you save depends on how long the lights are on and what they replace, so we work it out from your building rather than quote a general figure. Where emergency fittings are part of the upgrade, they're replaced and tested too, and the work is certified when it's finished.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
It depends on how many hours a day the lights are on, what the old fittings are and whether controls are added. LED fittings use less energy than the fluorescent and halogen fittings they usually replace, and last longer, but the saving is specific to each building, so it's worked out from the survey.
Only the room being worked on, and only while its fittings are changed. We work area by area and can do classrooms, offices and shop floors out of hours, so the building stays in use.
