EV charge points and solar PV for car parks, depots and roofs, installed and certified.
The quality of the work was fantastic… work carried out in a busy shop and wellbeing centre.
We install EV charge points and solar PV for car parks, depots and roofs, including the supply and protection they need, and certify the installation.
Charge points start with the supply. We check how much spare capacity the building has, then size the cabling and protection to suit. Where there isn't enough, load management can share the available power between chargers, or the supply can be increased through UK Power Networks, which needs planning into the programme.
Workplace charge points must be smart chargers under the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, and EV installations follow Section 722 of BS 7671. Larger solar PV systems need UK Power Networks' approval before they're connected; smaller ones are notified to it once they're in. Every installation is tested and certified to BS 7671 when it's finished.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
Yes. Charge points installed at workplaces and homes in Great Britain must meet the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, so they can change when and how fast they charge in response to signals, with default off-peak hours and a randomised delay. Public charge points have their own rules.
Not always. We check the building's spare capacity first, and load management can share the available power between several chargers. Where more capacity is needed, it comes from UK Power Networks, and its lead time needs planning into the programme.
