A home charge point needs a suitable supply and earthing. We check your consumer unit, main fuse and earthing first, because many homes have a PME supply that needs specific protection for charging a car outdoors. Home charge points must be smart under the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, and UK Power Networks is told about each one.
Solar PV needs a roof survey, a place for the inverter and a connection to your consumer unit, and UK Power Networks is notified before or after it's connected, depending on the system's size. Every installation is tested and certified to BS 7671 when it's finished.

Everything is tested and certified when it's done. We're a NICEIC Approved Contractor, so we self-certify the work that building regulations say must be notified and tell building control for you.
Yes. Charge points installed in homes in Great Britain must meet the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. They come set to charge at off-peak times by default, which you can change, and can respond to signals to shift charging when demand on the grid is high.
Most homes with off-street parking can. We check your main fuse, consumer unit and earthing first. If the supply can't take a charger alongside everything else in the house, load management can limit the charging current, or UK Power Networks can upgrade the supply.
