Epsom, 10 weeks
An EICR and everything it called for, from a new board to emergency and LED lighting, done in two weeks around a clubhouse still in use, for EAP Devlin & Sons.
Safety and compliance work at Belgrave Harriers' clubhouse in Wimbledon Village, for the main contractor, EAP Devlin & Sons: an EICR, a new distribution board, a compliant emergency lighting system, and LED lighting in place of the old fittings.
The club wanted the building to meet current regulations, run more reliably and cost less to light, on a set budget and a strict two-week programme, with the clubhouse partly open throughout.
We started with the EICR and let its findings set the programme, so the most urgent remedial work came first. Everything was finished, tested and certified inside the two weeks and the budget.
From the report to the fix, by one contractor.
Daily coordination and supervision on site kept the client informed and the programme on track.
| The challenge | How we handled it |
|---|---|
| A clubhouse still in use | How we handled it: Controlled, phased shutdowns, flexible working hours, and work areas kept separate from the parts the club was using |
| Compliance-critical work | How we handled it: The issues the EICR found were put right straight away, and every upgrade met current wiring and emergency lighting standards |
| Two weeks | How we handled it: Inspection, upgrades, installation, testing and certification all finished inside the programme |
