We install three-phase supplies and the power for plant rooms, lifts, commercial kitchens and machinery: sub-mains, isolators and the final connections to the equipment, coordinated with the plant installers.
Plant is usually supplied and positioned by other trades, so most of this work is coordination: agreeing what supply each item needs with its installer, getting the sub-main and isolator in before the equipment arrives, and making the final connection once it's in place. Each item gets its own local isolation, so it can be switched off safely for maintenance.
Before a new load is added, we check the existing supply and distribution can take it, so you know before the programme is fixed whether UK Power Networks needs to be involved. Every circuit is tested and certified to BS 7671 on completion, and the results go into the O&M manual.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
Yes. We install the supply, the isolator and the final connection for equipment supplied and positioned by others, such as lift, kitchen or air conditioning installers. Send the equipment's electrical data with the drawings, and we'll agree with its installer who does what at the connection.
We check the existing supply and distribution against the new loads before the work is programmed. If there isn't enough capacity, you'll know early, because an upgrade from UK Power Networks has its own lead time and can affect the programme.
