Two floors of NESCOT's North Wing rewired in 10 weeks for Trevor Blake, with zero defects at handover and further contracts awarded since.
A power and lighting rewire of the second and third floors of NESCOT College's North Wing in Epsom, for the main contractor, Trevor Blake, on a compressed 10-week programme shared with several other trades.
As well as the teaching floors, we rewired the college's new osteopathy clinic and two hair salon studios, with the hallways, landings and toilets around them. The package took in new sub-main distribution, new distribution boards, and emergency lighting we designed, installed and certified.
We handed over on programme and within budget, with zero defects, and Trevor Blake has awarded us further contracts since.
Two floors of the North Wing, rewired from the sub-mains out.
A compressed programme with several trades on the floors at once, so the work was planned in phases and coordinated at regular site meetings.
| The challenge | How we handled it |
|---|---|
| Tight programme | How we handled it: Detailed planning, phased working and close coordination with the other trades |
| Design changes mid-project | How we handled it: Agreed quickly at site meetings and worked in without moving the finish date |
| High-spec finishes | How we handled it: Finished areas protected throughout, with services routed carefully and installed precisely |
