We wire in cameras, alarms and video doorbells, so they run from the mains and don't need their batteries changing.
Wired cameras and doorbells are powered from the mains or through their network cable, so there are no batteries to charge and they don't drop out when the Wi-Fi is weak. Camera positions are agreed with you first, so they cover your doors, drive and garden without looking into your neighbours' property.
Cables are run inside where possible, out of sight and out of reach, and recording cameras are set up so you can view them on your phone. Any new circuit or socket is tested and certified to BS 7671, and we show you how the system works before we leave.
The same engineers who work on our commercial jobs do the work at home, and you get a written price before any work starts. For a fault, that's once we've found the cause.
Everything is tested and certified when it's done. We're a NICEIC Approved Contractor, so we self-certify the work that building regulations say must be notified and tell building control for you.
They can, but if your CCTV records outside your own property, such as the street or a neighbour's garden, you have duties under data protection law. The Information Commissioner's Office has guidance for people using CCTV at home. We'll help you position cameras to keep other people's property out of view.
Wired cameras are powered from the mains or their network cable, so they never need charging and are usually more reliable. Battery cameras are quicker to fit but need recharging and rely on a good Wi-Fi signal. We'll recommend what suits each position.
