What we do

We test every plot before second fix and again on completion, and hand over the certificates and test results for each home.

Testing each plot before second fix means any fault is found while the cables can still be reached, not after the walls are decorated. On completion every circuit is tested again, and the results are recorded in a schedule of test results for each home.

Each plot is handed over with its Electrical Installation Certificate, and the Building Regulations compliance certificate follows through our scheme. Certificates for the fire alarm, EV charger or solar PV are added where those are installed, so the developer, building control and buyers' solicitors each get the paperwork they ask for, plot by plot.

Every plot is tested before second fix and certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, with the certificates ready for sale.

Do you test each plot before second fix?

Yes. Each home is tested on its own before second fix moves on, so faults are found while the walls are still open.

What paperwork does each plot get?

An Electrical Installation Certificate with schedules of inspections and test results, the Building Regulations compliance certificate, and certificates for any fire alarm, EV charger or solar installation in that home. Buyers' solicitors often ask for them, so they're ready as each plot is handed over.
