We install the power and control wiring for building management systems and the plant they run, working alongside the controls specialist.
The building management system (BMS) is designed and programmed by the controls specialist. We install what it needs to run: the power to the control panels, the wiring out to sensors, valves and actuators, and the connections to the plant it controls, working from the controls specialist's drawings and points schedule.
Because the BMS sits between the mechanical plant and the electrics, most of the job is coordination. Containment routes and terminations are agreed with the controls specialist before we start, and the wiring is tested and labelled so they can commission the system without chasing faults. The test results and as-fitted information are handed over with the rest of the paperwork.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
The controls specialist programs and commissions it. We install the power and control wiring, test and label it, and are on hand while they commission, so any wiring issue is sorted on the day rather than chased afterwards.
The controls specialist's drawings and points schedule, the mechanical plant layout and the programme. With those we can price the power, containment and control wiring, and agree the split of work with the controls specialist.
