NESCOT College
Two floors of NESCOT's North Wing rewired in 10 weeks for Trevor Blake, with zero defects at handover and further contracts awarded since.
Data and structured cabling, tested and labelled, run alongside the power so one contractor looks after the containment.
The quality of the work was fantastic… work carried out in a busy shop and wellbeing centre.
We install data and structured cabling: cable runs, outlets and patching, tested and labelled, and run in the same containment as the power so one contractor looks after it.
The outlet positions, cabinet location and type of cable are agreed with you or your IT provider at the start, so the cabling suits the equipment going on it. Data and power share the same containment, kept apart as BS 7671 requires, so one contractor is responsible for the routes and nothing falls between trades.
Every link is tested and labelled at both ends, and the test results and a schedule of outlets are handed over with the rest of the paperwork. Your IT provider then connects the switches and wireless access points to cabling that's already been proven.
We keep to your programme. In buildings that are in use, the work is planned around the people using them, with shutdowns out of hours or area by area.
Everything is tested before handover. The electrical installation is certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, and the certificates and test results come with the rest of the handover paperwork.
Usually your IT provider, who supplies and sets up the switches, router and wireless access points. We install, test and label the cabling, outlets and patch panels, and agree the cabinet layout and outlet positions with them before we start, so it's ready for their equipment.
Yes, as long as they're kept apart as BS 7671 requires, for example by a divider in the trunking or a set distance between them. The routes are planned with that separation from the start, so it doesn't have to be fixed later.
