What we do

We install the door entry system and the cameras covering the communal areas, and commission both before handover.

The door entry is the part residents use every day, so it's planned with you early: the panel at the entrance, a handset or video screen in each flat, and the lock release on the main doors. Many systems can also call residents' phones, which is worth deciding before first fix, because it changes the cabling.

Cameras cover the communal areas, such as the entrances, bin and bike stores and the car park, with the recorder in a secure cupboard. Where the fire strategy needs it, the door locks are linked to the fire alarm. Both systems are commissioned before handover, with the instructions the management company needs.

We work to your build programme, plot by plot, from bare shell to handover.

Every plot is tested before second fix and certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, with the certificates ready for sale.

Questions about CCTV and access control

Can residents answer the door from their phones?

Many door entry systems can call a resident's phone as well as, or instead of, a handset in the flat. It's best decided at the design stage, because it changes what's wired to each flat and what the building's internet connection needs to support.

Who manages the CCTV after handover?

The management company or landlord, who becomes responsible for the system and the footage it records, including their duties under data protection law. The system is handed over with the logins, instructions and as-fitted information they need.
