What we do

We install the EV chargers and solar PV specified for the scheme, and certify them with the rest of each home's installation.

In England, Part S of the Building Regulations requires a charge point for each new home with a parking space, with some exceptions. We install the chargers and their circuits as part of each plot, so they're tested and certified with the rest of the home rather than added afterwards.

Solar PV is often specified to help new homes meet the energy efficiency standards in Part L. We install the wiring, inverter and connection to each home's consumer unit, and the systems are notified to UK Power Networks. The certificates for each home's charger and solar installation are handed over with its Electrical Installation Certificate.

We work to your build programme, plot by plot, from bare shell to handover.

Every plot is tested before second fix and certified to BS 7671 by a NICEIC Approved Contractor, with the certificates ready for sale.

Can you add EV charging or solar?

Yes. It's best specified with the build, so the cabling and capacity are planned in from first fix.

Do new homes need EV charge points?

In England, Part S of the Building Regulations requires a charge point for each new home that has a parking space with it, with some exceptions, such as where connecting it to the grid would cost too much. Other new buildings have their own requirements for charge points and cable routes.
